Hello every one. i don't know if you heard of this site called Patreon (www.patreon.com/ ) but the gist of it is: its like a kickstarter for artists. you give out money to an artist so they can continue to create work. its like a donation but its better because depending on the amount you donate you get some perks in return.
and this why I'm doing this journal. i planning of submitting in for my webcomic makeitstoopid.com , and it would be awesome if this became my full time job honestly, but also because i plan to start up another comic soon and it would enable me to be more consistent . so i'm asking for some input on the current reward perks i' ve been considering. here they are.
at the $1 pledge level
Access to the Patreon only fee
Early access to pin ups
Access to Patreon exclusive streams
at the $5 level, all of the above plus:
Voting on pin ups : get to choose which characters i draw (may be NSFW)
Tips and tutorials : ranging from art to software and hardware
Access to Exclusive contests
at the $10 level, all of the above plus:
Acces to PDS files of sketches and concepts
Advance images of upcoming comics and art
Hands on Art advice: i will doodle over your drawings
let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions for perks let me know and ill take them into consideration.
cheers

Stuff Breaks : PART 2 - THE REFIXINING!!
So an update to my state of my computer affairs.
last time i had left my broken laptop with a PC repair guy. I ask them if they could get this fix quick, and they said they had it done in 2 days. i say fine, ill pay $80 for the convenience of time. 2 days later they call me and tell me that they don’t have type of Jack to repair my laptop and that’s it gonna cost me extra for the piece. i say “no thanks, i can fix it myself”.
and so i ordered the piece it arrive a 5 days later and i installed it. and guess what happened?
i fixed it!. feel like new. but there’s a Shyamalan twist here. the fan from my laptop

I don't know if you will give a damn about what I have to say...
but the site and the concept seem reasonable.
I must say this article here interested me and made some aspects quite clear - ahs-comic.com/ahs/lets-talk-ab…
Just like kickstarter,it introduces people to various ideas, and is someone find something worthwhile, they support it,jsut like Shantae for example.
It offers a chance for both experienced and those still learning artists to gain something from their works other than joy ,earn funds fo materials and tools they need.
Also, they can receive lots of feedback.
Getting value of your works is a great idea,as you can support your needs with the money earned. It teaches you economy and boosts your self confidence.
Patreon is generally helping a new generation of artists !
If it is optional and not imposed/forced that also matters.
The concept may need a bit. o ftweaking, too ... as lot of patreon creators aren't actually offering a lot of ... well, "unique" content or products...or we don't know what value we may get out of it.
Thank you,Izra.This was worthwhile.
